Write for Us

We publish clear, practical guides about calculations, conversions and the numbers behind everyday decisions. Here is what we look for and how to pitch.

Deepak Chauhan

We publish guides that explain the numbers behind everyday decisions — what an EMI actually costs, why a time zone gap changes twice a year, how a body fat formula works and where it stops being useful. If you can write that kind of piece clearly, we would like to hear from you.

What we publish

  • Explainers that take one calculation and make it obvious: the formula, a worked example, and the mistake people usually make.
  • Practical comparisons — old tax regime against new, SIP against lump sum, 15-year mortgage against 30 — with the arithmetic shown.
  • Field knowledge. Pieces from people who do this professionally: accountants, dietitians, engineers, teachers, fitness coaches.
  • Corrections and improvements to what we already publish. If a formula on the site is out of date, tell us — we credit that too.

What we do not publish

  • Generic listicles, "top 10 tools" round-ups, or anything written mainly to carry a link.
  • Text generated by an AI and submitted as your own work. We can tell, and it wastes both our time.
  • Pieces that promise financial or medical outcomes, or that give advice a licensed professional should be giving.

Our standards

  • Original. Not published anywhere else, now or later.
  • Specific. Real numbers, worked through. "You could save a lot" is not a sentence we publish; "₹59,773 over five years" is.
  • Sourced. Link the primary source for any rule, rate or formula — the tax authority, the regulation, the published paper. Not another blog.
  • Plain. Short sentences, no marketing language, no padding to reach a word count. Most good pieces run 800–1,500 words.
  • Current. Tell us what needs checking each year, such as tax slabs or interest rates, so we can keep it accurate.

Links

You get a byline with a short bio and one link to your personal site, profile or company. We do not sell links, we do not accept paid placements, and every outbound commercial link is reviewed. Pitches that are really link requests are deleted unread — please do not send them.

How to pitch

  1. Email hello@convertcalculate.com with “Pitch” in the subject.
  2. Include the working title, two or three sentences on the angle, who it is for, and the sources you would use.
  3. Add a link to something you have written. A rough draft is fine — we care more about the thinking than the polish.

We reply to pitches we want within about a week. If you do not hear back, the idea was not right for us this time; do send another.

What happens after you send a draft

We edit for clarity and check every number and source. You see the edited version before it goes live, and we will come back to you with questions rather than guess. Once published, the piece is credited to you and we keep it updated — if a rule changes, we will ask you first.
